Thieves try to take Cars by Crashing Through Fence at Auto Auction Facility in Racine County

Three vehicles crashed through the fence at Manheim Auto Auction in Racine County in an apparent early morning theft attempt Sunday.

Racine County Communications Center received a report of three vehicles crashing through the fence at Manheim at 3:10 a.m. Sunday.

When deputies arrived at Manheim, they located three vehicles at the scene. It was later discovered that one of the vehicles had been stolen from Milwaukee, another had been stolen from The Manheim Auto Auction and the third vehicle was also stolen from Milwaukee.

At this time, it is unknown how many or what types of vehicles were stolen from The Manheim Auto Auction. One of the vehicles that is believed to be stolen from the auction facility was recovered in Milwaukee County with heavy front end damage.

The investigation is ongoing with the Racine County Sheriff's Office.
