GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Packer nation roared with excitement after Davante Adam's game-tying touchdown during Monday night's game at Lambeau Field. During the celebration one young fan got something of a souvenir: an injury.

First off, let's just make it clear that the 11-year-old fan from Utah is not upset about what happened. In fact, the kid's dad says he considers it a badge of honor to watch his son get a pretty rough sprain from the wide receiver during the mini-Lambeau Leap.

Luke West, a sixth grade student who lives about 20 minutes outside of Salt Lake City, explains.

"The Packers had the ball down 7 and they were on a drive. And then Adams caught the ball. Then he came over toward us and looked like he was about to give me the ball but then Jimmy Graham hit him and like crushed my arm against the wall," Luke West said.

"The helmet came in and the wall was right here and it just kind of got crunched," Luke West said.

Luke's dad, Brandon West, grew up in Lake Geneva. He proudly shows off the video he captured from his POV.

"I mean, we high-fived but he was high-fiving just with one hand. And I looked at him and I could see the tears starting to well up a little bit and I'm like 'Bud, you okay?'," Brandon West said.

"And I was like 'Are you hurt or are you injured?'. And he said 'Dad, I'm injured'," Brandon West said.

The family went in for a check-up on Tuesday just to make sure it wasn't broken.

"We got an x-ray and they were like yeah, it's not fractured or anything but it's just like really bruised pretty bad," Luke West said.

And he says it's hard to be mad. Davante Adams is actually his favorite player.

"Probably because like wide receiver is my favorite position and I just like him a lot," Luke West said.

"The fan experience, being able to come close to the players while they're playing - it's what makes the game fun," Brandon West said.

"You know, this has been a positive thing. Even though he walked away with a little injury on him it's a cool feeling for us to be like 'Heck yeah, Davante Adams crushed your hand. It was cool'," Brandon West said, laughing.

Luke says they are mostly surrounded by Broncos and 49ers fans in Utah, however, he still says he think some of his classmates will be pretty impressed by the story.
