Two people shot during fight at a local bar

While investigating several Shot Spotter alerts early this morning, the Milwaukee Police learned of two individuals arriving at a local hospital seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.  The victims, a 25-year-old Milwaukee man and 26-year-old Milwaukee woman, told police they were at a tavern near N Teutonia Avenue and W Finn Place when a fight broke out between two groups.   The man and woman left the tavern and heard several gunshots as they drove away.    The car was hit by the gunfire and the victims then realized they had been shot and drove to the hospital.

The incident happened around 2:15 AM and both victims are expected to survive their injuries.

The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident and is looking for suspects.
