Veterans Day 2018: Free meals for veterans, military members

SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Veterans Day 2018 is this Sunday, November 11.

In honor of the day, several local restaurants, bars, stores, museums, and more will be offering discounts to military personnel as a way to say thank you on November 11.

Food and Beverage Deals on November 11:

Applebees: For the 11th year, all veterans and active duty military are invited to visit their local Applebee's® on Veterans Day to enjoy a free full-size entrée from a selection of eight fan favorites.

Bar Louie: From open to close on Sunday, November 11, every Bar Louie throughout the country will offer veterans and military personnel a free burger or flatbread up to a $15 value when they show a valid military I.D.

Boston MarketBOGO Individual meal & a drink on November 11, 12.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Free small wings & fries for active and retired armed services members. 

Capri di Nuovo: Free personal lasagna to Veterans with a valid military ID.

Cracker Barrel: Veterans receive a complimentary Crafted Coffee, a traditional espresso beverage (available iced or hot) or a slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake at all Cracker Barrel locations to thank them for their service and sacrifice for our country.

Chipotle: Show your military ID and receive a BOGO burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos. Valid in-stores only, for veterans, active military, and military families with ID.

Dunkin DonutsFree Donut to All Veterans and Active Duty Military.

Krispy Kreme:  Free small coffee and choice of doughnut.

Olive Garden: Veterans, active-duty members eat free off special Veterans Day menu.

Red Robin: Honoring all veterans and active duty military guests with a FREE Red’s Tavern Double™ Burger served with Bottomless Steak Fries® at participating Red Robin restaurants nationwide.

Red LobsterIn honor of Veterans Day, and to thank veterans, active duty military and reservists for their service, Red Lobster® is offering a free appetizer or dessert on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12. 

RARE Steakhouse: This Veterans Day, as a thank you to those who serve and defend our country, RARE Steakhouse will begin offering an ongoing discount of 15% off the full check to all uniformed military, first responders, and anyone with a military ID.

StarbucksVeterans, active duty service members and military spouses, enjoy a free tall (12 fl oz) hot brewed coffee on Veterans Day (11/11) at any participating Starbucks® store.

Texas Roadhouse: All veterans, including all active, retired, or former U.S. military, can choose one of 10 entrees from our special Veterans Day menu, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/iced tea or coffee during lunch. Proof of service includes military or VA card, or discharge papers.

IHOPVeterans and Active Duty Military can enjoy three of IHOP restaurant’s hot-off-the-griddle, world famous Buttermilk Pancakes with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping for free at participating U.S. locations between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
