View on High from The North Point Lighthouse

Milwaukee's North Point Lighthouse gives you an opportunity to see forever.  Or at least 21 miles out across Lake Michigan.  Today during the CBS58 Morning News, I had the chance to climb 84 stairs to the top of this historic landmark, 74 feet above the ground, and see the sunrise.  For a few months, the iconic attraction dating back to the 1850's, had been closed due to some renovations.  But now it's open for weekend tours.  The curator says this is the only lighthouse in the country made up of three different lighthouses.  The original lantern is also still in tact. Anyone who's been to the top will tell you the view really speaks for itself.

Private tours are also offered.  For more information about times and ticket prices, make sure to click on the attached link.
