Washington County Dispatch celebrates birth of baby girl over the phone

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Back on Sunday, November 26 a Washington County Communications Officer assisted a local family in delivering their baby at home. The baby girl was born at 4:43 a.m. weighing a healthy 7 pounds 14 ounces and 20" long.

According to a post from the Washington County Sheriff's Office, it was far from a normal delivery. The baby girl came too fast before first responders could arrive and the person who answered the 911 call followed department medical protocols to assist the couple during the delivery process and with post-delivery care.
