WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A woman is now charged with stealing electronics from the West Allis-West Milwaukee School Administration Building. 

According to the criminal complaint, Melissa Stevenson used to be a lunch lady at Jefferson Elementary school. 

West Allis Police say she went into the administration building and loaded up a garbage can with a laptop, camera, and speakers. 

Stevenson was arrested in Cudahy the day after for retail theft.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) – Authorities arrested Melissa Stevenson in connection with the theft.

According to a search warrant obtained by CBS 58, Stevenson used to be a lunch lady at Jefferson Elementary School. The search warrant states Stevenson was familiar with the administration building because her lunch lady training was held at that building. 

Stevenson is now in Milwaukee County Jail.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) – The West Allis Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who stole computer equipment from the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District.

The suspect is described as a white female with dyed red hair, wearing a long black coat, pink scarf and carrying a black purse.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Allis Police Department or to remain anonymous, calling Crime Stoppers at (414) 476-CASH.
