West Bend man calls 911 to ask for a tow home from McDonald's

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 55-year-old West Bend man called 911 during the snowstorm on April 18 to request a tow home from McDonald's.

Officers told the man that it was not a proper use of 911, to which the man said that it was snowing and cold and he didn't want to be stranded.

Officers then told the man that he couldn't be stranded when he was just a few steps from a restaurant.

The man was warned about misuse of 911 and given information about dialing a non-emergency phone number in the future.
