West Bend Police: Motorcyclist arrested for OWI after crashing into car

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The West Bend Police were called to a car vs. motorcycle accident over the weekend.

It happened around 7 p.m. near Wood Way and Silverbrook Drive on Sunday.

Police say that a 48-year-old West Bend man driving a motorcycle attempted to pass a vehicle ahead of him on the left side.

The vehicle in front of the man was turning left into a driveway at the same time and the motorcycle collided with the vehicle.

The officer investigating the crash observed that the man driving the motorcycle was intoxicated. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. He faces OWI charges.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
