Wintry Mix Arrives for Evening Voters...More Late Week Snow

Enjoy the afternoon sunshine because the clouds will continue to roll in ahead of a warm front!  East of that warm front will be a mix of rain, sleet, and snow just in time for the evening commute.

We are expecting that mix to arrive between 5 pm and 8 pm.  Of course both the commute and voting will be impacted before the polls close at 8 pm. Surface temperatures will remain in the middle 30s, so roads shouldn't be impacted and will remain wet.  Just make sure you grab the umbrella!

Once the warm front moves through after 8 pm, the mix turns back over to rain as temperatures slowly rise overnight.  Scattered rain is expected overnight into early Wednesday morning.  Plan on some showers for Wednesday with a high near 50!

Rainfall totals out of this event will sit between 0.50" to 1.00".  As the cold air comes in on Thursday, there is a chance for a mix; however, it appears the accumulating snow will stay west of our area.

We will have a shot of light to moderate snow on Friday with an inch of so of accumulation.
