Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team to take on Packers Alumni

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team (WWAFT) will take on a team of Green Bay Packers alumni at halftime of Sunday’s Packers-Dolphins game at Lambeau Field, as part of the Packers’ Salute to Service celebration in honor of Veterans Day.

Packers alumni Gilbert Brown, Ryan Grant, Nick Barnett, John Jurkovic, Don Davey, Kevin Barry and Junius Coston will participate in the flag football game and will play against a team of service members who are now using prosthetic devices to engage in everyday life activities.

WWAFT’s mission is to raise awareness and support for wounded warriors and their families by showcasing the team on the field, inspiring fans and highlighting the perseverance of active and former service members.
