Brewers demote Knebel to AAA Colorado Springs
MILWAUKEE - The Brewers stayed busy on Thursday's off day, demoting pitcher Corey Knebel to AAA Colorado Springs and pitcher Zach Davies to Low-A Wisconsin.
Knebel, a 2017 All-Star and the Brewers closer to start the season, has seen his ERA balloon to 5.08 this season after a series of recent rough outings. He gave up a run in a third of an inning in his most recent appearance Tuesday night, and has allowed runs in five of his last seven games pitched.
Davies was moved to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to continue his rehab from a shoulder injury. Davies hopes to re-join the Brewers rotation in September. He's been out since May 29th.
