Brewers get ready for important series against Cubs to start homestand

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Brewers return home on Monday to continue their playoff push, beginning the season’s final four weeks of action with a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs at 1:10 p.m. – the final meeting between these two Clubs at Miller Park during the regular season. Following an off day on Thursday, September 6, the Crew will host the San Francisco Giants for a three-game set over the weekend, beginning on Friday, September 7 at 7:10 p.m. The homestand will feature Grease Night on Saturday, September 8, a pair of season seat holder appreciation days and the second-to-last 5-County Friday of the year.

Wednesday, September 5 vs. Chicago Cubs – 7:10 p.m.
Roberto Clemente Award Nominee – Roberto Clemente dedicated his life to helping others. In honor of the late Hall of Famer and humanitarian, Major League Baseball annually bestows the Roberto Clemente Award to the player who best represents the game of baseball through sportsmanship, community involvement and positive contributions, both on and off the field. A player from each club is nominated and one player is elected as the Roberto Clemente Award winner. On Wednesday, the Brewers nominee will be recognized.

Friday, September 7 vs. San Francisco Giants – 7:10 p.m.
Bob Feller Act of Valor Award Finalist – Jimmy Nelson will be recognized on the field as a finalist for the 2018 Bob Feller Act of Valor Award, an award named after the Hall of Fame pitcher who was the first Major League Baseball player to enlist in the United States Navy after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Jimmy is being recognized for his efforts in support of our servicemen and women.
