Elmbrook Humane Society getting ready for Wagfest September 8

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) — Elmbrook Humane Society is hosting their 11th annual Wagest on Saturday, September 8. Elmbrook Humane Society is the only no kill humane society in Waukesha County.

The event will happen at Mitchell Park in Brookfield and offers an opportunity for animals and their people to come together as a community to celebrate the bond between them. You don't need a dog to participate.

The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes food, music, shopping, several different raffles and activities for dogs. Raffle prizes include Harley-Davidson items, animal-themed gift baskets, a WOOF wagon of spirits filled with premium liquor and wines, and a tower of craft beer.

For dogs, Wagfest will feature lure courses, an agility demonstration and practice arena, Zoomie Zone, Pawcasso Studio, photo booth, and the always popular Puptini Bar featuring a new dog beverage, Doggychino.

There will be 80 vendors on site and food options including EBHS Shelter Grille and Cantina, Scrima’s Pizza, Sherwood’s Fabulous Fudge, and Texas Roadhouse.

The event has free admission and last year over 7,000 attended.

All proceeds will benefit the animals cared for at EBHS as well as programs they offer to the community.
