Fund established for parking enforcement officer stabbed on the job

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Donations are being accepted to help a Milwaukee parking enforcement officer who was attacked on the job.

The 60-year-old worker was hospitalized after he was stabbed while issuing a parking ticket on April 2.

People can donate to the "Friends of the DPW Parking Enforcement Officer" at any U.S. Bank branch. At this time, only checks or cash are being accepted.

The Department of Public Works says the employee would like to remain anonymous and is a long-time veteran of city service. He is still recovering from his injuries and is not yet back on the job.
