Here comes the cold...Wind Advisory in effect

Buckle up and get ready for a big drop in temperature for Tuesday!  We are going from the 60s to the 30s for tomorrow; moreover, wind chills will feel more like the teens and 20s!

Take a look at the cold front to our northwest.  That low pressure is like a vacuum, bringing record warmth to the north, and plunging cold air out of Canada!  As the low deepens, strong winds will gust between 40 and 50 mph tonight and into tomorrow.  A wind advisory is now in effect until 6 pm Tuesday.

Today was extreme across the Milwaukee area.  We set a new record high of 64, breaking the old record of 60 back in 2001.  60s are very uncommon for December; Milwaukee doesn't average a single one.  The record amount of 60+ degree temperatures in December was 3 back in 1998.

A line of showers and storms is expected tonight between 7 pm and Midnight ahead of the cold front.  While we will just receive rain, the northwoods will likely get 1" to 3" of snow for Tuesday.  Keep that in mind for your travels.
