Kenosha woman arrested for OWI after causing two-vehicle crash in Mount Pleasant

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 27-year-old Kenosha woman was arrested for OWI after causing a two-vehicle crash in Racine County.

Mount Pleasant Police were called to the area of Highway 20 and I-94 for a report of an injury crash around 1:05 a.m. on Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles in the ditch area. One of the vehicles was occupied by three men who all sustained non-life threatening injuries. One of the men was taken to a local hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition.

The other vehicle was being operated by a 27-year-old Kenosha woman who was found to be driving while intoxicated.

According to Mount Pleasant Police, the 2019 Genesis G70 being operated by the Kenosha woman exited the interstate, failed to obey traffic signals, and struck the Hyundai being operated by the three men.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene due to heavy damage.

Formal charges are pending against the Kenosha woman.
