Light snow possible today, warmer temps coming

The next snow maker is already blanketing some parts of the Badger State with light snowfall this morning. Most of the activity will stay to our north; however, expect with a wind shift to bring lake effect snow showers onshore late this morning and afternoon. Areas along the lakefront could see a quick dusting under the heaviest squalls.

The story besides the cold is the snowfall this month. We have received 4.6” of snow, the most this early in November since 1995. The cold has been stuck with us with an average temperature of 35.5 degrees, almost 6.5 degrees below normal. Two years ago, the average temperature was 53.1 degrees!

Temperatures will begin to warm again late this week with a couple of days in the 40s by Thanksgiving through the weekend. There’s even a shot of showers on Friday and Saturday. We’ll keep an eye on it if it will only be liquid!
