Milwaukee man allegedly shot by person attempting to rob him

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are currently investigating a Friday evening shooting which may have been the result of a robbery.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. while the victim was sitting in his car near 25th and Concordia.

The 19-year-old victim told police that someone walked up to his car and attempted to rob him. When he refused to cooperate, the victim says that the suspect shot him.

The victim is being treated for a gunshot wound to the arm at a local hospital. 

Police are searching for the suspect.

The shooting remains under investigation.
