MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As COVID-19 concerns continue, Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport said it is taking extra precautions.
Airport leaders said they are now doing enhanced cleaning procedures throughout the airport. They also follow directives from the Milwaukee Health Department.
CBS 58 spoke to several travelers who said they were taking extra precautions by using hand-sanitizer, but weren't worried enough to cancel their trips.
“I had my wipes and I wiped everything down at my seat on the airplane, and then you know, got off, went into the bathroom, washed my hands," Traveler Cindy Frerking said.
Another man said he wasn't concerned at all.
"For me, I'm just going to go about normal life until further notice," he said.
Airport leaders also note there are no direct flights from Milwaukee to any of the countries severely impacted by COVID-19.
