MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee pastor says someone has been dumping items, like tree branches and tires, behind her church, Chosen Generation Outreach Ministry.
Pastor Ingrid Durr-Russell says it has happened multiple times since they opened at their location at 24th Place and Auer Avenue back in December of 2017.
The most recent incident happened on May 22, and was captured on surveillance video.
Durr-Russell said tree branches were dumped in the back of the church and electricity was cut. She said the church was without power for four days, causing them to lose food they were preparing to use for an upcoming Father's Day event.
"It was an injustice, not just to Chosen Generation Outreach Ministry, this was an injustice to this neighborhood and Milwaukee, period," Durr-Russell said.
Durr-Russell said the church did hear from a man who owned the truck captured on surveillance video with tree debris in it. She said the man said he fired the person responsible for dumping the tree branches in the back of the church.
