MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Chef Aaron Nigbor of New Perspective Senior Living joined us on Tuesday, June 9 to share tips for making home cooking feel more like a restaurant experience.
Nigbor recommended sourcing local ingredients from farmers markets, making pantry staples from scratch when possible and cooking with aromatics like garlic and onions to create an inviting smell. He also suggested plating individual portions with simple garnishes rather than serving family-style.
Nigbor also discussed how dining expectations have evolved in senior living communities, where residents increasingly seek variety, global flavors and restaurant-style service.
New Perspective has communities in Franklin, Brown Deer, West Bend and Waukesha.
