No. 6 Wisconsin falls to Maryland in 70-64 loss

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Eric Ayala scored 17 points, while Aaron Wiggins added 15 as Maryland beat No. 6 Wisconsin 70-64.

Wiggins also grabbed nine rebounds for Maryland, which snapped Wisconsin's 15-game home winning streak and a stretch of 10 straight conference wins that dated back to last season.

D'Mitrik Trice scored 25 for Wisconsin, who held a lead with 5:30 to go and were within a point of Maryland with 2:00 to play.

Aleem Ford was the only other double digit scorer for the Badgers with 10.

After the game, Greg Gard lamented the Badgers troubles at the free throw line.

Wisconsin made just 53% of their attempts from the charity stripe.
