No one hurt in Fond du Lac house fire

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) – No one is hurt after an early morning house fire in Fond du Lac Wednesday morning.

According to Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue, crews were called to the home near 2nd St. and Harrison Pl.  around 7:10 a.m.

Authorities say smoke was coming from the first floor of the two-story duplex. The fire was found to be in the kitchen and quickly put out. No one was hurt. The house sustained minor damage but is still habitable.

Authorities say there were no working smoke alarms in the home.

The fire remains under investigation.
