(MILWAUKEE) Next Saturday and Sunday, March 9th and 10th is behind the scenes weekend at the Milwaukee County Zoo. It's an opportunity for visitors to check out underground enclosures for warm-weather animals, see how food items are prepared and gain a new appreciation for the work that takes place behind closed doors.
On display year-round however is a strong bond between zookeepers and the animals in their care. In fact, as Amanda Porterfield shows us, some zookeepers express their special relationship with 'animal ink.'
