Plenty of "Paczki picking" on this Fat Tuesday

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It's power to the Paczki, all the way, on the Fat Tuesday. Today is the day overindulgence can be understated. What better way to observe the occasion than to eat this type of Polish pastry before Ash Wednesday gets underway? At Sweet Perfections in Waukesha, some 5,000 of the pastry have either been or in the process of being made. The owner says this number is a 20% increase from last year and says he had to open the store much earlier compared to other years.

Besides the typical Paczki, like Bavarian Cream, Prune, and Raspberry filling, there are also alcohol-infused ones: Raspberry Vodka Shooter, Spiced Banana Foster, Kahlua 'n Mudslide, Brandy Old Fashioned, Rumchata Crunch, and Bailey's Cherry Bombshell.  Since the alcohol is in the filling and not cooked out, you have to be at least 21 to order one.
