Racine’s Got Talent

Racine has a ton of kids with awesome skills and now’s the time to show them off. Racine’s Got Talent 5 is Saturday, August 3rd. The talent competition puts local kids in the spotlight while raising money for the Dr. John Bryant Center where the contest is held.

The organizer, Jesse Booker, explains why he started Racine’s Got Talent and what you can expect this time around. Booker also describes some of the standout performances he’s seen over the years.

Then two previous winners join us to tell us about their personal experience with the youth talent competition. They also show us their talent! Meet Alahna Rae and Alexandria Cannon. Now that they each have wins under their belts, they’re taking on a new role as judges for this year’s competition.

National Night Out

More than 120 communities in Wisconsin will participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6th. Racine is one them.

Racine Neighborhood Watch Program Director Susan Feehrer-Lacck and 2nd District Alderwoman Mollie Jones join us to reveal the activities on tap this year. They also explain how this night plays a role in enhancing the relationship between neighbors and local law enforcement and makes our neighborhoods safer, more caring places.
