RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) – Racine Police say the department has responded to several armed robberies of delivery drivers in the last few days.
The department is asking local restaurants to consider new policies where calls from blocked numbers are not eligible for delivery.
During dark hours, police say restaurants should consider requiring customers to pay in advance with credit or debit cards. Additionally, police say drivers should avoid deliveries to homes that appear to be vacant or properties without outside lighting and avoid carrying large quantities of cash.
