GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee men are in custody after leading Greenfield police on a chase that ended in front of a Pick N' Save on Sunday, May 24.

Police say they attempted a traffic stop at 3:00 a.m. near West Parnell Avenue and South 27th Street for a speeding vehicle swerving lane to lane.

The vehicle then fled at a speed of approximately 60 mph before coming to a stop on its own in the southbound lanes of South 27th Street, in front of the Pick N' Save just south of West College Avenue.

Police say after a high-risk stop was conducted the driver initially did not exit the vehicle upon command due to a language barrier but was arrested a short time later without incident.

The driver is a 32-year-old Milwaukee man, arrested for Fleeing an Officer and Operating while intoxicated.

The passenger, a 31-year-old Milwaukee man, was also arrested for resisting officers.

Charges for the driver will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
