Temperatures tank as we head into a new year!

The last day of 2017 saw highs in the mid teens.  Sadly, this will seem warm as we work into a new week and year!!  Lows overnight into Monday will be the coldest of the season.  -5 to -10 at the very least.  With the wind, it'll feel like -20 to -30.  Please limit your time outside.  I know there'll be a lot of people out and about to celebrate a new year.  Keep in mind you can get frost bite in a half hour with conditions like this.

A Wind Chill Advisory holds from 8pm Sunday until noon on Monday. Obviously, make sure your pet stays inside as well. But at the same time, make sure you're protecting yourself by wearing layers and putting on a hat and gloves.  I always say this...common sense goes a long way when it comes to weather.

There's not a lot of relief with the extreme cold this week.  For what it's worth, I don't see any major snow storm coming this week.  And in terms of a warmup, give it a week.  At least.
