Two Friday night shootings in Milwaukee are under investigation

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened later Friday evening.

Around 9 PM, Officers responded to a report of a man injured in a shooting in the area of N 50th and W Nash Streets.   When they arrived, they found a 39-year-old man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  He was treated at the scene by the Milwaukee Fire Department and then taken to a local hospital for further treatment of his wounds.   The circumstance that led to the shooting are still being investigated by the MPD.

About 40 minutes later, a 35-year-old man walked into a local hospital seeking treatment of a gunshot wound.   The man told Police investigators that he was leaving a home near N 45th and W Locust Streets when he heard gunshots and realized that he had been wounded.   The identity of the shooting is not known.
