Woman threatens Deputies during arrest

TOWN OF BURLINGTON, WI (CBS 58) -- A 42-year-old Town of Burlington woman threatened Sheriff’s Deputies while she was being arrested Friday for her sixth OWI offense.

On the evening of November 23, Racine County Deputies were called to an accident at McHenry Street and Warren Road in the Town of Burlington were a vehicle had left the road and struck at mailbox, trash bins and several trees.  According to a news release from the Racine County Sheriff, when the Deputies arrived, they suspected the  driver, Cynthia Johnsen, was under the influence of alcohol.

As Deputies placed her under arrest, Johnsen became uncooperative and threatened to punch the Deputies in the face and kick them in the teeth. 

Johnsen is currently in the Racine County Jail with a bond of $10,000.   According to the news release, Johnsen faces charges of  OWI and making Threats to Law Enforcement, both felonies.  Johnsen  was also issued traffic citations for Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Keep a Vehicle Under Control.
