16-year-old arrested after crash involving MCTS bus

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a crash that happened on Thursday, May 9.

It happened around 2:15 p.m. near 27th and Clybourn. 

Police say they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and later crashed. Police say they were not pursuing the vehicle. The vehicle disregarded a red light and collided with another vehicle as well as a Milwaukee County Transit System bus. 

The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old male, fled on and was arrested. 

No injuries were reported, and police say the car was stolen. 

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
