GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities are investigating a home explosion in Grafton Monday, Jan. 30.

Police say it happened near Glen Anna Drive and Surrey Lane shortly before 11:15 a.m.

According to fire officials, two people were home at the time of the explosion, a man and woman.

The man suffered serious but non-life-threatening burn injuries and was transported to a burn unit in Milwaukee. The woman was unharmed.

Their next-door neighbor, Brian Fillinger, called 911 when he heard the explosion.

"Just heard this incredibly loud boom, and just came around the corner and their window was blown out, there was siding starting to already pour into my side of the yard," Fillinger told CBS 58.

Surrey Lane was closed between Glen Anna Drive and Valley Drive for several hours.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.

We Energies has ruled out natural gas as the cause after checking throughout the neighborhood.

"Grafton Fire and We Energies came in to check our gas, because I think they originally thought it was something with gas, and we were all good," Fillinger said.

Police said there is no threat to other homes in the area.

Neighbors were shocked by the scene and the extensive investigation.

"This is a one-block road in Grafton. The amount of traffic that's been here today is crazy. You never see anything like that around here," Fillinger said.

The Grafton Police Department is currently working with the FBI and Wisconsin Department of Justice to determine a cause.

As of now, there is no indication of foul play.
