Woman killed on Milwaukee's south side identified as niece of Common Council President Jose Perez

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A woman shot and killed over the weekend has been identified as Milwaukee Common Council President's Jose Perez's niece.
She was found dead near 26th and Clayton on Sunday, Feb. 26.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Aliyah Perez.
Alderman Perez said in a statement, the family is asking for privacy during this time.
This investigation is ongoing. Milwaukee police continue to look for a known suspect.
