Milwaukee Public Schools to host 9th annual UN World Fair

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The MPS United Nations Schools of International Learning World Fair 2024 is set to return in April, bringing together more than 2,400 students from 17 of the city’s most diverse schools.

Hosted at the Baird Center, the fair is held under the United Nations Schools of International Learning program, highlighting the linguistic diversity among the participants, with students speaking 35 different languages.

The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and it seeks to explore the strengths and challenges of different countries around the globe.

This year introduces the MPS Citizenship Award, which will recognize three exceptional service learning projects with a $500 prize each.
