Milwaukee woman cited for OWI in Marathon County was traveling over 100 mph with infant in car

Elaina M Rookard of Milwaukee was spotted going 101 mph in Marathon County when she was stopped on I-39. The woman was cited for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.

Rookard, 19 years of age, had an infant passenger in the vehicle as well as one other adult. Officers performed an investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, and found that Rookard was operating under the influence of a controlled substance.

The driver was arrested for operating while under the influence 1st offense with a passenger under the age of 16, possession of THC and speeding.
