Milwaukee's 'It's Alive on the RiverWalk' to showcase local performers during final week

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The final performances of the "It's Alive on the RiverWalk" series are approaching.

Performances are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 13, and Saturday, Sept. 16. The series showcases local musicians and artists along Milwaukee's RiverWalk.

Performance schedule for Sept. 13:

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Milwaukee Public Market - DJ Bucket Drummer; Riverside Theater – Lobi
  • 4 to 7 p.m.: Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria – Max Niemann; Milwaukee Public Market – Scott Hanson; Riverside Theater – Tlalok

Performance schedule for Sept. 16:

  • 3 to 7 p.m.: Bronz Fonz – Jorge Valentine; Lakefront Brewery – The Spine Stealers; Pere Marquette – Matt Froelich

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- "It's Alive on the RiverWalk," a new series bringing live performances to Milwaukee's RiverWalk, has been unveiled by the Milwaukee Theater District.

The busker-style series will feature local musicians, artists and street performers, starting July 19 and lasting until Sept. 16. The aim is to stimulate activity and raise awareness of Milwaukee's live-entertainment and music scene.

The RiverWalk, a 20-block pedestrian promenade bordering the Milwaukee River, connects three neighborhoods.

Performances are set for Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting on Wednesday, July 19, with Jacob Slade performing at Pere Marquette Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Cullah at Riverside Theater.

On Saturday, July 22, Blacktop and Maximiano will perform at Lakefront Brewery and a location to be determined respectively, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The following Wednesday, July 26, Caley Conway will perform at Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria.

Lakefront Brewery will host Micah Emrich on Saturday, July 29, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Milwaukee's Pabst Theater Group, in collaboration with the Milwaukee Theater District, Lakefront Brewery, Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria and the RiverWalk District will be responsible for organizing the performances.
