Packers release Ferguson, re-sign Jackson

GREEN BAY - The Packers made two moves Wednesday, releasing lineman Ego Ferguson and re-signing running back Don Jackson.

Ferguson, who was claimed on waivers from the Chicago Bears, reportedly failed his physical. He has not appeared in an NFL game since 2015.

Jackson was the surprise starter at running back for the Packers-Bears game at Lambeau Field in October. He appeared in three games before going on injured reserve late last fall. The Packers have Jackson, Ty Montgomery and Christine Michael as the only running backs on their current roster.
