Silver Spring House to reopen with new owner

GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Silver Spring House in Glendale has a new opener that expects to reopen the restaurant soon. 

Dave Braeger, a man raised in Wisconsin, has bought the Silver Spring House and the land surrounding it. 

He plans on putting in pickle ball courts and other fun family activities on the surrounding land, but will sell some of it.

The restaurant is expected to get a face lift and renovation, but Braeger says he will keep the historic hardwood floor.

Braeger also says those wearing their military, police, fire, etc. uniform will receive 30% off of the meal for their entire family.

The hope is top open the Silver Spring House by the end of April, but Braeger wants to make sure it returns to a good family venue instead of just a bar.
