Summerfest announces a 55th anniversary schedule of activities and promotions

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Summerfest is celebrating its 55th anniversary with various activities and promotions, announcing several in a Thursday, April 20 press release. The festival will collaborate with Aurora Health Care, Miller Brewing Company and Briggs & Stratton for Mary Lou's Closet, among others.

Key events include National Record Store Day on Saturday, April 22, a supply drive at Briggs & Stratton Headquarters on Friday, April 28, to benefit Mary Lou's Closet, as well as Summerfest ticket giveaways at Miller Brewery Tour and Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, also on April 28. Additionally, Aurora Health Care hospitals will provide "Little Rockstar" swaddles and hats for newborns on April 28.

Other promotions will include Cousins Subs Big Gig Giveaway on May 18, Summerfest at the Milwaukee Night Market on June 14, and a Summerfest 55 Happy Hour during the festival from June 22 - 24, June 29 - July 1 and July 6-8.
