Summerfest announces new headliners and 'Sound Waves Stage'

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Summerfest has unveiled additional headliners for its 55th anniversary celebration, taking place on June 22 - 24, June 29 - July 1 and July 6 - 8.

Ne-Yo, Walk The Moon, Dylan Scott, Digable Planets, Steven Adler of Guns 'n Roses, The Bar-Kays, Easy Star All-Stars, Kari Faux and Emo Night Brooklyn join the lineup, which was initially revealed in late March.

In addition to the new headliners, Summerfest is introducing the "Sound Waves Stage," located at the former World Soundstage near the Summerfest Mid Gate. The stage will feature Milwaukee-area DJs accompanied by a special sound and light experience. Themed dance nights include Retro 80's Dance Party, New Wave Hip-Hop, EMO Takeover, Baila Reggaetón and more.

Other newly-announced headliners include Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles, Gene Woods and the Soul Alliance, Stangelove – The Depeche Mode Experience, Willy Porter, Jupiter & Okwess, Husbands, Chicago Blues SuperSession, Letdown., GALXARA, Kirstie Kraus, La Sra. Tomasa, Bandits on the Run, Levi Riggs, The Steepwater Band, Browns Crew, Argonaut & Wasp, The Honest Heart Collective, Monica Giraldo, Desmond Jones, Leilani Kilgore, RAYVEN, SIAS, Mayyadda, Kwaj, Crocodyle, NilexNile, Phillip-Michael Scales, Balkun Brothers, The Keystones, Mike Mangione, The Orphan The Poet, Porcupine, Diet Lite, Caravanchela and RJ Griffith.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com and the American Family Insurance Box Office.
