RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) – The Racine County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a semi-truck fire on Wednesday, August 12 on Interstate 94 southbound near County Highway K in the Town of Raymond.
The driver of the truck was able to get out safely. The semi was carrying caramel for an ice cream maker. Authorities say the fire appears to have started in the rear axles due to a mechanical problem.
Portions of the highway were shut down for around an hour.
