West Bend Police: 2 arrested after shoplifting from Walmart, caught with drugs in vehicle

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two individuals were arrested and are facing several charges after allegedly shoplifting from a West Bend Walmart and being caught with drug paraphernalia in their vehicle.

Police responded to the Walmart at 1515 W. Paradise Drive on Wednesday after a Walmart employee reported that a man and a woman went to the self checkout, pretended to scan items, put the items in a bag, and left the store without paying for the items. 

Officers responded and were able to stop the suspects as they were getting into a vehicle in the parking lot.

They were identified as a 27-year-old Brown Deer man and a 28-year-old Brown Deer woman.

While officers were recovering stolen items from the vehicle, they located heroin and drug paraphernalia belonging to the man.

Both suspects are now charged with Retail Theft.

The male suspect faces additional charges of Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
