Early Morning Fire Damages Milwaukee Home

Milwaukee Fire Department was called to a house fire at N 47th and W Center Streets around 4:35 Wednesday morning. The three residents of the house, two adults and a child had already evacuated the 2-and-a-half story wood frame building safely, with the help of a Milwaukee Police Officer, by the time firefighters arrived. According to Milwaukee Fire Department officials, the fire was confined to a second floor bedroom and was controlled within an hour. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the residents of the house.
