Livestock killed in Dodge County barn fire

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a large barn fire around 10:00 PM Saturday.

The barn was on the Dale Twardokous residence on Pierce Road in the Town of Herman and Mayville.

Eleven fire departments were called to battle the blaze.

There were no injuries, but an undetermined number of livestock died as a result of smoke inhalation.

The Iron Ridge Fire department will investigate the cause and origin of the fire.
