It's a very common problem here in Milwaukee, babies not being properly put to sleep with tragic consequences.
A new American Academy of Pediatrics study found despite all the information there on safe sleep for babies parents aren't following the advice.
Pediatrician Elissa Rubin says parents get bombarded at the store with unsafe baby products.
New parents are also desperate for sleep. The study found many infants were moved during the night to their parents bed.
“Now you're putting them in a bed with pillows and blankets and people, it's just not the safest place at all,” said Dr. Rubin.
