Bublr Bike Sharing Stations Now Expanding to 57 in Milwaukee
City of Milwaukee and Bublr Bikes were on hand Thursday to mark the successful installation of 10 Bublr Bikes stations in the city.
The 10 new stations installed by DPW and Bublr Bikes bring the total number to 57, more than doubling the 28 stations that were operating in Fall 2015.
The 10 additional stations extend Bublr Bikes' presence to new locations north, south, east and west of downtown Milwaukee, accomplished by a combination of a federal grant awarded to the City of Milwaukee and tax increment financing funds.
CBS 58 News was at the traditional docking of the bicycles at the Bublr Bike station on N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive at W. North Avenue.
Deshea Agee of the King Improvement District said this will offer a huge boost to generating traffic and shoppers in the neighborhood.
