Body Found in Rock River

On January, 1 at approximately 3:04 PM the Janesville Police Department received a call that a boater had located a body that was partially submerged in the Rock River near the 1400 block of Afton Road.
Janesville Police Department officers, with the assistance of the Janesville Fire Department, recovered the body of what appears to be an adult man from the water.
The identity of the body is unknown and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
