Waukesha High School Teachers Shave Their Heads to Support Sherman Park
Some Waukesha West High School teachers went bald on Tuesday.
Three barbers and three community center leaders from the Sherman Park agreed to shave the heads of staff and administrators who have been raising money in what's call the "Save it or Shave it" event.
It was just supposed to be beards, but when the kids went above the goal and brought in $4,000 they decided to shave the heads too.
The money will go towards the construction of community center in Sherman Park.
“Just to sort of bridge the gap. I personally live in Brookfield but Waukesha is so close to Milwaukee we feel this is an outstanding opportunity to help our peers,” said Jim Brennan, Waukesha West teacher.
Hope Street is the group spearheading the community center at 26th and Capitol.
